Abstract
Objective: To compare the learning achievement of “Moodle” program, on the topic: “Direct ophthalmoscope” in Ophthalmology. In the 5th year medical students who use and does not use “Moodle Program” in the courseware.
Methods: Descriptive study, parallel-group enrolled 802 of 5th year medical students at Faculty of Medicine
Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University. Compared the exam scores that use and does not use “Moodle” program, on the topic: “Direct ophthalmoscope” in Ophthalmology, Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital.
Results: This research has divided total sample of 802 medical students in to 2 groups. The group who use
“Moodle” program is consisted of 322 students and the group who does not use “Moodle” program is consisted of 480 students. This research found that the group of medical students who use “Moodle” program had the exam scores (mean 8.48±4.99) more than the group of medical student who does not use “Moodle” program (mean 4.04±3.64) showed significant improvements (p<0.05).
Conclusion: The 5th year medical students who use “Moodle” program, had the exam scores on the topic:
“Direct Ophthalmoscope” in Ophthalmology, more than who does not use “Moodle” program.
