Computers have increasingly played an important part in working. Individuals in the working population are
at risk of musculoskeletal disorders, such as neck pain with/without headache or numbness in the hands. Neck
pain with radiation to the arms should be differentially diagnosed by a doctor for cervical spondylosis and upper
limb muscle imbalance, which is often caused by repetitive use of shoulder girdle muscles, leading to local
or referred pain. This condition is termed Myofacial pain syndrome and a physical examination usually reveals
Myofascial trigger points on muscles, which indicate blood circulation impairment in the areas. Physical therapy
with muscle stretching and postural adjustment often leads to an improvement in symptoms.
