Experience of Palliative Nursing Care for Coronavirus 2019 Patients in The Medical Ward

Abstract
The 2019 Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) is a respiratory tract infection. The group most at risk of sudden, severe consequences from this severe disease are vulnerable individuals, such as the elderly and those in critical condition. Patients with mild to moderate symptoms may require treatment in regular hospital wards. However, if a patient is diagnosed as being in critical condition, they should receive comprehensive care based on the principles of palliative care. This approach ensures that nursing care is provided to patients peacefully and humanely, while also allowing family members to accept the inevitable loss. Nurses have experience in caring for this group of patients in the final stages. In the context of regular hospital wards, there is a need to establish guidelines that can be adapted for the care of these patients in the future.
