ทักษะแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21: สาระสำคัญที่ต้องรู้สำหรับการจัดการศึกษาพยาบาล

บทคัดย่อ

       ทักษะแห่งศตวรรษที่ 21 เป็นคำที่เกิดจากการพัฒนากรอบแนวคิดการเรียนรู้ในศตวรรษที่ 21 (21^st Century Learning Framework) ของนักวิชาการในองค์กรต่างๆ ในสหรัฐอเมริกาที่มารวมตัวกัน แนวคิดนี้ได้เผยแพร่และต่อยอดโดยนักการศึกษาและผู้ทรงคุณวุฒิจำนวนมากทั้งไทยและต่างประเทศ ซึ่งสาระหลักของทักษะที่กล่าวถึงคล้ายคลึงกัน ประกอบด้วยทักษะการรู้หนังสือคือการอ่าน การเขียน การคำนวณ การคิดอย่างมีวิจารณญาณและการแก้ปัญหา การสร้างสรรค์และนวัตกรรม ความเข้าใจความต่างวัฒนธรรมต่างกระบวนทัศน์ ความร่วมมือ การทำงานเป็นทีม และภาวะผู้นำ การสื่อสาร สารสนเทศและรู้เท่าทันสื่อ คอมพิวเตอร์และเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศและการสื่อสาร รวมทั้งอาชีพ และการเรียนรู้

       การจัดการเรียนการสอนทางการพยาบาลจำเป็นต้องปรับกระบวนทัศน์และวิธีการสอนเพื่อให้ผู้เรียนเกิดการพัฒนาทักษะดังกล่าว อย่างไรก็ตามการปรับเปลี่ยนไม่ได้เกิดขึ้นอย่างง่าย ดังนั้นทุกฝ่ายที่เกี่ยวข้องจะต้องร่วมมือกันมุ่งมั่นที่จะปรับเปลี่ยนองค์ประกอบต่างๆ ที่สำคัญในการนำไปสู่การพัฒนาซึ่งได้แก่ด้านผู้สอน ด้านผู้เรียนและด้านสิ่งแวดล้อมการเรียนรู้

21^st Century Skills: Essential Issues for Nursing Education Management

Abstract

            The term ‘Twenty first century skills’ was developed from the 21^st Century Learning Framework by American scholars. This thought has been spreading and extended by many experts both in Thailand and overseas. The core skills are similar which include literacy skills of reading and writing, arithmetic,  critical thinking and problem solving, creativity and innovation, cross-cultural understanding, collaboration, teamwork and leadership, communications, information, and media literacy, computing and ICT literacy, and career and learning skills. 

       Nursing education the refore needs to be managed in a way that develops the learners to have the skills mentioned above. Changes are needed in regards to both concepts and teaching methods. However, the change may not occur easily. All stakeholders are required to help this shift especially in three main components including instructors, learners and learning circumstances.
