Abstract

This Quasi experimental design aimed to 1) compare  learning achievements before and after preparation for practice in the subject of Community Health Nursing between an experimental group and a control group, and 2) evaluate satisfaction after preparation for practice in the subject of Community Health Nursing. The subjects comprised 126 of  fourth year nursing students  who registered in the subject of Community Health Nursing in year 2014. The instruments used in this research included 1) preparation activities before practice, 2) a learning achievement form, and 3) a satisfaction questionnaire. Data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics and the Mann-Withney U test.

The findings indicated that the learning achievement scores of the experimental group were higher than those of the control group, however there was no statistical significance (p=.582). The satisfaction scores of the experimental group with activities were at a high level (3.44  0.48).
