ความสามารถของนักศึกษาพยาบาลชั้นปีที่ 2 วิทยาลัยพยาบาลสภากาชาดไทย ในการดูแลผู้รับบริการที่มีบาดแผล ในรายวิชาปฏิบัติการพยาบาลพื้นฐาน

Abstract

การวิจัยเชิงพรรณนาครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความสามารถของนักศึกษาพยาบาลชั้นปีที่ 2 ในการดูแลผู้รับบริการที่มีบาดแผลในรายวิชาปฏิบัติการพยาบาลพื้นฐาน วิทยาลัยพยาบาลสภากาชาดไทย กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาพยาบาลชั้นปีที่ 2 วิทยาลัยพยาบาลสภากาชาดไทย ในรายวิชาปฏิบัติการพยาบาลพื้นฐาน ปีการศึกษา 2552 จำนวน 84 คน เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลด้วยแบบบันทึกข้อมูลส่วนบุคคล และแบบประเมินความสามารถของนักศึกษาพยาบาลชั้นปีที่ 2 วิทยาลัยพยาบาลสภากาชาดไทย ในการดูแลผู้รับบริการที่มีบาดแผลในรายวิชาปฏิบัติการพยาบาลพื้นฐานที่ประกอบด้วย 3 ด้าน ได้แก่ การประเมินผู้รับบริการเพื่อการดูแลบาดแผล การทำความสะอาดบาดแผล และการประเมินผลการทำความสะอาดบาดแผล ได้ค่าความเชื่อมั่นของแบบประเมินเท่ากับ .81 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติเชิงพรรณนา

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า นักศึกษาพยาบาลส่วนใหญ่ มีความสามารถในการทำความสะอาดบาดแผล และการประเมินผลการดูแลผู้รับบริการที่มีบาดแผล อยู่ในระดับปานกลาง (  = 10.8, S.D. = 2.28 และ  = 1.3, S.D.= 0.60 ) ส่วนด้านการประเมินผู้รับบริการเพื่อการดูแลบาดแผล อยู่ในระดับน้อย (  = 3.6, S.D.= 1.48)

จากผลการวิจัยมีข้อเสนอแนะว่าผู้สอนควรพัฒนาการเรียนการสอนเพื่อพัฒนาความสามารถของผู้เรียนในการดูแลผู้รับบริการที่มีบาดแผล โดยเฉพาะด้านการประเมินผู้รับบริการเพื่อการดูแลบาดแผล และควรมีการวิจัยเกี่ยวกับการส่งเสริมความสามารถของนักศึกษาพยาบาลในการปฏิบัติการดูแลผู้รับบริการที่มีบาดแผลโดยเฉพาะด้านการประเมินผู้รับบริการ

Ability in caring for clients with wounds among 2^nd year nursing students in The Practicum of The Fundamentals of Nursing, The Thai Red Cross College of Nursing

This descriptive research aimed to evaluate the ability of wound care among  the 2^nd year nursing students during academic year 2009 at The Thai Red Cross College of  Nursing, in the practicum of the Fundamentals of Nursing subject.   The sample of the study included 84 nursing students who were studying in the practicum of the Fundamentals of Nursing subject. The instruments used in this study were comprised of the demographic data of the nursing students, and an observational tool for wound care, which had a reliability of 0.81.  The observational tool for wound care consisted of three parts including assessment  of  the  patients for wound care, wound dressing, and evaluation of providing wound care. The data were analyzed statically using basic descriptive statistics.

The research result revealed that most of the nursing students had a moderate level in wound dressing (  = 10.8, S.D.= 2.28) and evaluating of wound care (  = 1.3, S.D.= 0.60). The assessment of the patients for wound care were rated at a low level (  = 3.6, S.D.= 1.48).

Based on the results, the following are recommended: 1) The Fundamentals of Nursing course should develop the teaching-learning method to enhance nursing students' ability in wound care, particularly with the assessment of the client for wound care; and 2) Further research should be conducted about developing a teaching-learning model for improving the ability of wound care among nursing students before practicing in The Practicum of Fundamentals of Nursing.
