พฤติกรรมรุนแรงของผู้ป่วยจิตเวชที่รับไว้รักษาใน โรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์

Abstract

การศึกษาครั้งนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาความชุกและรูปแบบพฤติกรรมรุนแรงของผู้ป่วยจิตเวช

กลุ่มตัวอย่างคือผู้ป่วยจิตเวชที่เกิดพฤติกรรมรุนแรงในโรงพยาบาลจุฬาลงกรณ์ที่จำหน่ายในช่วง 1 ต.ค. 53 -30 ก.ย. 54   โดยศึกษาย้อนหลังจากเวชระเบียน เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการศึกษา เป็นแบบบันทึกพฤติกรรมรุนแรงของผู้ป่วยจิตเวชของ Yudofsky และคณะ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้สถิติร้อยละ ค่าเฉลี่ยและ ส่วนเบี่ยงเบนมาตรฐาน

ผลการศึกษาพบว่า ความชุกของพฤติกรรมรุนแรง ร้อยละ 17.92 ส่วนใหญ่ก้าวร้าวทำร้ายผู้อื่น  รองลงมาเป็นก้าวร้าวทางคำพูด  ก้าวร้าวทำลายทรัพย์สิน และก้าวร้าวทำร้ายตนเอง  

ผลการศึกษาทำให้ได้ข้อมูลพื้นฐาน  สัญญาณเตือนผู้ป่วยที่มีพฤติกรรมรุนแรง  เพื่อสังเกตอาการและวางแผนป้องกันไม่ให้เกิดพฤติกรรมรุนแรง

Violent Behavior of Psychiatric In-Patients at King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital

The  objective  of  this  study  was  to  examine  the  prevalence   of violent behavior  among psychiatric patients.

            The  sample comprised  previously  discharged  violent psychiatric in-patients  at  King Chulalongkorn  Memorial  Hospital  during  October 1, 2010 – September 30, 2011 from chart  review. The tools  were Yudofsky et al.’s  violent  behavior   checklist for  psychiatric  patients. The data were analyzed using percentile, mean, and standard deviation.

The  study revealed  that  the  prevalence  rate  of  violent  behavior for  psychiatric patients was 17.92%. The major violent behavior was physical aggression against  other  people, followed by verbal  aggression,  physical  aggression  against  objects  and  physical  aggression  against  themselves,  respectively.

These findings  were  very  useful as it comprised a data  base  and provided  warning  signs of  violent patients  to  observe  and  plan the  prevention  of  severe  behavior.
