การใช้การบำบัดแบบผสมผสานป้องกันและบรรเทาอาการในผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดแดงส่วนปลายอุดตันเรื้อรัง: บทบาทพยาบาล

Abstract

โรคหลอดเลือดแดงส่วนปลายอุดตันเรื้อรัง (Chronic Peripheral Arterial Disease) มีสาเหตุจากภาวะหลอดเลือดแดงแข็ง (Atherosclerosis) ส่งผลต่อผนังหลอดเลือดแดงทำให้หลอดเลือดแดงตีบแคบ ซึ่งมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับความยืดหยุ่นของผนังหลอดเลือดแดงผิดปกติ ความไม่สมดุลของภาวะไขมันในเลือด การรวมตัวกันของเกร็ดเลือด และการเกิดลิ่มเลือด การรักษาผู้ป่วยขึ้นอยู่กับระดับความรุนแรงของโรค ซึ่งมีตั้งแต่การปรับพฤติกรรมสุขภาพ การใช้ยา และรวมไปถึงการผ่าตัด ในปัจจุบันนอกจากมีการรักษาด้วยการแพทย์แผนปัจจุบันแล้วยังมีการศึกษาวิจัยเกี่ยวกับการใช้การบำบัดแบบผสมผสานในการรักษาผู้ป่วยด้วย  ซึ่งในบทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อนำเสนอการใช้การบำบัดแบบผสมผสานในผู้ป่วยโรคหลอดเลือดแดงส่วนปลายอุดตันเรื้อรัง ได้แก่ การฝังเข็ม การกดจุด และการใช้ผลิตภัณฑ์เสริมอาหารชนิดต่างๆ รวมทั้งกล่าวถึงบทบาทพยาบาลที่สำคัญในการซักประวัติ รวบรวมข้อมูลต่างๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้อง และการให้คำแนะนำที่สำคัญ เนื่องจากผลิตภัณฑ์เสริมอาหารบางชนิดมีผลต่อการรักษาแผนปัจจุบัน

The use of complementary therapies to protect and relieve symptoms in patients with chronic peripheral arterial disease: nurses’ role

The main cause of peripheral arterial disease is atherosclerosis which narrows the vessel lumen, the endothelial cells decrease elasticity, and relates to alteration of the lipid profiles, platelet aggregation, and thrombosis. Medical treatment depends on the severity of disease and varies from lifestyle modification, using medicine, and vascular operations. In addition to medical treatment, there are studies addressing complementary therapies for peripheral arterial disease. The aim of this article is to gather the data on the use of complementary therapies including acupuncture, acupressure, and dietary supplements. Moreover, crucial nursing roles are added by such means as collecting the related data, and educating the patients as concerns some dietary supplements and their interaction with medical treatment.
