Abstract

      สตรีตั้งครรภ์เมื่ออายุมาก (ตั้งครรภ์เมื่ออายุมากกว่าหรือเท่ากับ 35 ปี) จัดอยู่ในกลุ่มการตั้งครรภ์ที่มีความเสี่ยงสูงทั้งต่อสตรีตั้งครรภ์และทารกในครรภ์ สตรีตั้งครรภ์ที่มีอายุมากจึงต้องเผชิญกับความเสี่ยงของปัญหาต่าง ๆ ทั้งทางด้านร่างกายและจิตสังคม พยาบาลจึงเป็นผู้มีบทบาทสำคัญในการดูแลสตรีตั้งครรภ์กลุ่มนี้ เพื่อช่วยให้สตรีตั้งครรภ์ที่มีอายุมากและครอบครัว มีความรู้ ความเข้าใจเกี่ยวกับการดูแลตนเองทั้งด้านร่างกายและจิตสังคม ซึ่งจะส่งผลให้สตรีตั้งครรภ์ที่มีอายุมากมีคุณภาพชีวิตที่ดี บทความนี้นำเสนอประเด็นเกี่ยวกับสตรีตั้งครรภ์เมื่ออายุมาก ได้แก่ ปัจจัยส่งเสริมให้สตรีมีการตั้งครรภ์เมื่ออายุมาก ผลกระทบทางด้านร่างกายและจิตสังคม แนวทางการดูแลและบทบาทของพยาบาลตามระยะต่างๆ ของการตั้งครรภ์ เพื่อลดผลกระทบที่อาจเกิดขึ้นในสตรีตั้งครรภ์ที่มีอายุมากและส่งเสริมคุณภาพชีวิตของมารดาและทารก

Advanced Maternal Age: Nursing Roles

Advanced maternal age (pregnancy at age 35 or older) is a high-risk pregnancy group that may have adverse pregnancy outcomes for both pregnant women and their fetuses. These women will have to face some physical and psychosocial health problems. Hence, nurses play vital roles in caring for this group of women to ensure that the women and their families are well-informed of and understood how to take care of themselves in physically and socio-psychologically, with the result of a higher quality of life. This article presents multifaceted issues related to advanced maternal age, i.e., the factors that influence women’s decisions to delay childbearing, physical and psychosocial impacts, relevant practice guidelines, and the roles of the nurse at each stage of pregnancy to reduce the impact of advanced maternal age and to promote the quality of life of the mothers and infants.
