Cardiovascular Disease of Phon Health Network, Khon Kaen Province.

Abstract

The objective of participatory action research were 1) To investigate the situation of Phon health network referral system for cardiovascular disease patients 2) To develop Phon health network referral system for cardiovascular disease patients 3) To evaluate both the system and the outcome of Phon health network referral system for cardiovascular disease patients. The samples were 1. Forty two health personnel in Phon hospital 2. Fifty one personnel from community in Phon District, Khon Kaen. Research instruments included the participation workshop brains-storming process with AIC technique, a record transfer pattern between Phon hospital and khonKaen hospital, a record transfer pattern from community to Phon hospital. Data were analized by descriptive statistics and percentage and content analysis.

The results show that

1) The current situation were inadequate number of the ambulances and understandard staffing were inadequate lack of knowledge, skill and experience for caring patient, the rescuers’s equipment in the ambulance were unready for used the coordination of data for referral and center of refer were not clear, the Practical guideline and the referral system were not clear and the participation of network for sharing learning not clear

2) Development of referral system for cardiovascular disease patients process had taken from the participats from work shop brainstorming process with AIC technique and 7 projects were recruited

3) The effective of referral system of cardiovascular disease patient found that the overall results were better and help patients in time (100%) and incidence of death had not found.
