Model of the potential development of caregivers and volunteers for child 0-5 years development in community participation.

This research is an action research aimed to study the model of the potential development
of caregivers and volunteers for child 0-5 years development in community participation. The research area is in the area of Non Khun health promoting hospital, Mueang District, Nong Bua
Lam Phu Province. Purposive Sampling methods was used, the sampling groups consisted the
groups of 51 committees, 45 volunteers, and 45 caregivers. The tools used in the research are
structured group discussion, the questionnaire having confidence values Kuder-Richardson KR 20= 0.70 for volunteers and the questionnaire having confidence valuesCronbach’s Alpha = 0.79forcaregiver. Data were collected during June - September 2018 and analyzed by using descriptive statistics including percentage, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics including t-test.
The results (1.) Input: the committee indicated that the caregivers and volunteers should
be developed the potential. (2.) Process: there was the training for develop the potential of
caregivers. After the training, the average of child development promoting behaviors was found
that increase from 54.67 to 69.24, this was statistically significantly (P=0.00). In the same way,
volunteers after training found that the average knowledge in promoting child development
was found to increase significantly from 31.22 to 33.56, (p-value = 0.00) (3.) Output: The committeeconducted a summary of the model of the potential development of caregivers and volunteers for child 0-5 years development in community participation by providing the potential development of caregivers and volunteers. Furthermore, the caregivers must continuously promote child development by providing volunteers to visit children once a month and Ban Kham Subdistrict Administration Organization should support fresh milk, eggs and iodised salt for the children’s family.
The next research should to study the effectiveness of themodel of the potential development of caregivers and volunteers for child 0-5 years development in community participation.
