The Effects of Using Clinical Nursing Practice Guideline Among Patients with Traumatic Cardiac Arrest, Sriboonruang Hospital

This research and development aimed to develop clinical nursing practice guideline (CNPG) and study an effects of using clinical nursing practice guideline for the patients with traumatic cardiac arrest, Sriboonruang Hospital. The samples were 9 traumatic cardiac arrest patients and 11 registered nurses from the emergency room. The data were collected during January to September 2021. The research instruments were the developed clinical nursing practice guideline for the patients with traumatic cardiac arrest, case record form and the opinion questionnaires. All of the instruments were validated by 3 experts, content validity was 0.83.
The result shown that most of 9 patients with traumatic cardiac arrest are men (88.9%), age between 18-81 years old (median 43, IQR 45). Cause of accident was road traffic injury 55.6%, access to hospital by EMS 77.8%, cause of death was tension pneumothorax 55.6% and 44.4% had return of spontaneous circulation. The 11 registered nurses had average score of satisfaction of CNPG at high level (3.90; SD 0.53). Therefore, should be used the clinical nursing practice guideline continuously for patient with traumatic cardiac arrest.
