Factors Associated with Unwanted Adolescent Women Pregnancy in the Perceived of Female Junior High School Students, Tan Sum District, Ubonratchathani Province

Abstract

A Cross-sectional analytical research aimed to investigate factors associated with unwanted adolescent women pregnancy in the perceived of female junior high school students, Tan Sum District, Ubonratchathani Province. The 395 samples were collected by using a questionnaire between October 2019 and December 2019. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation, median, percentile 25 and 75 for descriptive statistics and factors predicting were analyzed with multiple regression analysis by Stepwise method. The study showed, factors associated with unwanted adolescent women pregnancy in the perceived of female junior high school students, Tan Sum District, Ubonratchathani Province were social or environmental factors, values, attitudes towards sex, family characteristics, and perception of contraception and 5 predictors can explain the variance of factors associated with unwanted adolescent women pregnancy in the perceived of female junior high school students, Tan Sum District, Ubonratchathani Province at 26.40 (R2=0.264, R2adj=0.254, SEest=5.164, F= 27.840, p=004) Statistically significant at 0.05 level. According to the study of the planning for the prevention and control of unwanted pregnancy of adolescent women, this factor must be considered.
