1. Manuscript Requirements

Submitted article must be research articles, academic articles, or invited articles in the specified fields. The submitted articles must not have been previously published or be under consideration by other journals. The content and information in articles published in the Journal of Social Research and Development are the responsibility of the authors and do not reflect the views or responsibilities of the journal's editorial board.

Authors intending to submit articles should format their manuscripts according to the specified guidelines. They can download the article template and the article submission form here. After formatting the article and filling in the submission form, authors should log in or register to submit their articles through the ThaiJO system by uploading the article file and the submission form. (select type “Article File” for the manuscript and “Others” for the submission form and other documents.) The submission form should also be sent to jmardjournal@gmail.com.

Authors should ensure the accuracy of their manuscripts, including spelling, punctuation, language appropriateness, and clarity. They should also clearly categorize their articles as research articles, academic articles, or invited articles.

2. Components of the Article

The components of the three types of articles are as follows:

2.1 Research Article : A research article presents research and its results systematically. It summarizes the research findings that can be further utilized. A research article must present the knowledge gained from the research with the following components:

  1. Abstract: Both Thai and English abstracts should clearly state the objectives, research methods, and research findings in no more than 300 words, followed by 4-5 keywords. The Thai abstract and keywords should be written first, followed by the English abstract and keywords. (For English articles, only the English abstract and keywords are required.)
  2. Introduction: Include the significance and background of the research problem, presenting an overview of the article, including the research questions, research objectives, and related theories or literature review (which can be a separate section).
  3. Literature Review and Conceptual Framework: This section should include relevant theories and research and the conceptual framework used in the study.
  4. Research Methodology: This should include the objectives, hypotheses, population and sample, research instruments, and statistical analysis methods.
  5. Results: Describe the research findings according to the research objectives, categorize them into different points, and include illustrations or summary tables to help readers understand the findings better.
  6. Conclusion: Should summarize the research findings according to the research objectives.
  7. Discussion: Categorize the discussion points, comparing the research findings with the theories used in the research and previous studies to show the consistency or differences in each point or highlight new knowledge gained from the study.
  8. Recommendations: Indicate how the research findings can be applied and suggest further research topics related to the study.
  9. References: APA style 7th edition .

2.2 Academic Article : An academic article presents concepts or analyses that lead to a clear and logically ordered presentation of content, making it easy for readers to understand. It adheres to academic principles or the author's professional experience, providing a guide for social science development applications. The components are:

  1. Abstract: Both Thai and English abstracts should not exceed 300 words, followed by 4-5 keywords. The Thai abstract and keywords should be written first, followed by the English abstract and keywords. (For English articles, only the English abstract and keywords are required).
  2. Introduction: This should include the background, principles, and rationale.
  3. Content: Should present various points the author wants to convey, integrating ideas, attitudes, and perspectives with relevant references.
  4. Conclusion: Should concisely summarize the main points, provoking thought among readers.
  5. References: APA style 7th edition .

2.3 Invited Article : An invited article is written by a well-known author, expert, or distinguished scholar in the relevant field who is invited by the journal's editorial board. It should not exceed 10-15 pages and should include an introduction, the main points or content to be presented, and references in APA style 7th edition . Invited articles are reviewed and screened solely by the journal's editorial board.

3. Format for Preparing and Presenting Articles

Authors must prepare the manuscript and present the article according to the journal's guidelines. The article template can be downloaded for preparing the manuscript and should include the following details:

  1. Paper Size: Use A4 (21 cm x 29.7 cm), portrait orientation.
  2. Article Length: Articles should be approximately 12-25 pages in A4 size, including references.
  3. Page Margins: Set the page margins as follows: top 1.0 inch, bottom 1.0 inch, left 1.0 inch, and right 1.0 inch (or 2.54 cm).
  4. Page Layout: Use a single-column layout.
  5. Line Spacing:

           (1) For main headings/subheadings and content, set the line spacing to 8 pts.

           (2) For content, set single-line spacing.

  1. Indentation for Subheadings: Use 1.5-inch and 2.0-inch indentation for subheadings, respectively.
  2. Font Style: Use TH Sarabun New with the following specifications:

The format for in-text and end-of-article references must follow APA style 7th edition .
