Abstract

This article is intended to present the academic librarian competency, especially, the competency in managing bibliographies, citations and references; in online learning systems, Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs); in plagiarism checker tools or how to evaluate information reliability and most important, the promoting digital information literacy competency which should be the basic skills for the academic librarians.
