บทความนี้เขียนขึ้นเพื่อสนับสนุนการปฏิบัติงานวิชาชีพบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัยโดยเฉพาะแนวคิดการส่งเสริมการเรียนรู้สารสนเทศดิจิทัลโดยใช้ระบบจัดการบรรณานุกรม การพัฒนาทักษะอื่น ๆ ที่เกี่ยวข้องกับเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ได้แก่ ระบบการเรียนออนไลน์ด้วยสื่อประสมแบบ MOOCs ระบบการตรวจสอบความน่าเชื่อถือของสารสนเทศ เพื่อพัฒนาสมรรถนะวิชาชีพที่จำเป็นในอนาคตของบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดมหาวิทยาลัย
