Confirmatory Factor Analysis of the Environmental Quality Indicators in Hospital Model

Abstract

This study used a mixed method for the analysis of confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) of environmental quality indicators in hospital model. The samples included executives and staff from regional hospitals in the eastern region of 6 hospitals under the Ministry of Public Health, totaling of 12,196 personnel. Data were collected between January and March 2023 using interviews, focus group discussions, assessment criteria for environmental quality indicators of the hospital and collected with opinion questionnaires to confirm the composition of environmental quality indicators in hospital model. The questionnaire validity was tested using an IOC yielding the value of 0.84. The reliability was tested using Cronbach’s alpha coefficient yielding the value of 0.96. The qualitative data were analyzed using CFA and checked using the goodness-of-fit model.

These results of confirmatory factor analysis, and check of goodness-of-fit model of the variables found that the final model was the most appropriate. All criteria values are met while applying to explain, taking assumptions into consideration from the consistency index were Chi-square=5.210, degrees of freedom=2, probability level=0.74, CMIN/DF=2.605, GFI=0.996, RMSEA=0.068, Probability level>0.05, CMIN/DF<3, GFI=0.997, and RMSEA=0.000 respectively.
