This Scabies Screening Tool was developed using key-characteristics from patient history, symptoms and signs of scabies infestation, which were found in clinical practice. Non-health care professional can use this easy kit to screen suspicious cases, and to refer them to doctor. The efficacy of scabies screening tool was studied in two temples and one Juvenile Observation and Protection center. The result showed that efficacy of scabies screening tool was good. Its sensitivity, specificity and efficiency were 56%, 97%, and 95.8%, respectively. This screening tool is suitable for prevention of scabies outbreaks in the high risked places, i.e. temples, Orphanages, prisons, and Juvenile Observation and Protection centers.
