Abstract

The objective of this study is to compare the efficacy of narrow – band UVB (NB-UVB) treatment in psoriatic patients between initial dosage of 30%MED and 50%MED. Eighteen patients with psoriasis equal or more than 20% of body surface area who have skin types III–V were irradiated with 30%MED and 50% MED initial dosage with the same incremental dosage of 10% on each side of the body for 30 treatments. The result showed similar efficacy of both regimen. The cumulative dosage of 50%MED initial dosage group were 1.5 times higher than 30% MED initial dosage group.
