Article Flow

Once the manuscript is submitted to our journal system, the editor will start a preliminary assessment of the contents of the paper that should be within the scope specified by the Journal of Thailand and Midwifery Nursing Council.

Plagiarism from other sources will be checked and the correct format of the manuscript and reference lists specified in the author’s guideline is expected. The quality of the manuscript will be initially assessed.

If the submitted paper fails to meet those screening criteria, the journal will notify the author back to make corrections within the specified period. If no response or changes are received, it is unavoidable to inform the authors that the article is "not accepted for consideration” and specify the reason for not accepting the paper to the authors.

In the case of accepting the paper for consideration, the editor will inform the authors that the article is “received for consideration” and then considers appointing three peer reviewers to double-blinded assess the quality of the article. There are evaluation forms according to the type of articles, including academic articles, qualitative research, quantitative research, evidence-based work, literature review, or research integration. The author will inform that the article is “under quality assessment by qualified reviewers”.

The quality assessment of articles by qualified reviewers is classified into three levels, including

  • "appropriate to publish without further correction",
  • "appropriate to publish but requires corrections as suggested", and
  • "appropriate to reject publication."

When the experts sent their review results back. The editors will consider the evaluation results of all experts in detail. The editor then summarizes the evaluation results and provides suggestions for revisions and sends them back to the author for revisions.

The editor will check whether the author has made any further amendments. If the amendment has not been made without reasonable grounds, the editor shall inform the author that the article submitted is "Rejected for Publication"

The number of revisions varies depending on the completeness of the paper. In general, the qualified manuscript required revisions should not exceed three times.

The article is proofread and published.
