THE ROLE OF SOCIAL GROUPS IS AFFECTING FOR QUALITY OF LIFE OF HIV CASES : THE CASE STUDY OF SAWANPRACHARAK HOSPITAL, NAKHON SAWAN PROVINCE

The purposes of this research were 1) to study role of social groups for helping people living with HIV at Sawanpracharak Hospital, Nakhon Sawan Province 2) to study quality of life of people living with HIV at Sawanpracharak Hospital, Nakhon Sawan Province and 3) to study role of social groups affecting quality of life of people living with HIV at Sawanpracharak Hospital, Nakhon Sawan Province. This study used a cross-sectional survey research model. The sample groups were 345 people living with HIV who use services at Sawanpracharak Hospital, Nakhon Sawan Province. The sample size was determined using Taro Yamane's formula using simple random sampling. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and multiple regression analysis.
The results of the study found that: 1) role of social groups for helping people living with HIV at Sawanpracharak Hospital, Nakhon Sawan Province overall at the agree level. When considering each aspect by sorting mean from highest to lowest, it was found that the aspect with the highest mean were prevention role, regeneration role, development role, and correction role 2) quality of life of people living with HIV at Sawanpracharak Hospital, Nakhon Sawan Province overall at good level. When considering each aspect by sorting mean from highest to lowest, it was found that the aspect with the highest mean were environment, mind, society, and body and 3) role of social groups affecting quality of life of people living with HIV at Sawanpracharak Hospital, Nakhon Sawan Province were prevention role and development role affecting quality of life of people living with HIV. It can be written as an equation as Y(quality of life) = 3.228+0.105 (prevention role)+0.175 (development role). Include were Office of Disease Prevention and Control Region 3, Nakhon Sawan Province should promote multi-party care for HIV-infected people in the public, private sectors, families, and communities and infected in order to promote and develop a better quality of life.
