Abstract

This study aimed to assess the quality of life and factors associated with quality of life among people living with HIV receiving TLD combination antiretroviral therapy regimen (tenofovir disoproxil fumarate, lamivudine, and dolutegravir) at Thasala Hospital, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. A cross-sectional analytical study was conducted among 286 people living with HIV aged 18 years or older who had been receiving TLD combination therapy for at least one year. Data were collected using the WHOQOL-BREF-THAI questionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple logistic regression. The results showed a mean quality of life score of 97.44±11.93 (range: 65-127). The majority of participants (57.7%) had good quality of life, while 42.3% had moderate quality of life. No participants demonstrated poor quality of life. Factors significantly associated with good quality of life included strong social relationships (adjusted OR = 13.77, 95%CI: 5.83-32.52, p<0.05) and disclosure of HIV status to family members or trusted individuals (adjusted OR = 2.12, 95%CI: 1.26-3.56, p<0.05). These findings highlight the importance of social support and support from close contacts in enhancing physical and mental health, reducing stress, and promoting self-care. Appropriate disclosure of HIV status information is essential for improving quality of life among people living with HIV.
