บทคัดย่อ

ภาวะทุพโภชนาการเป็นปัญหาที่พบบ่อยในผู้ป่วยผู้ใหญ่ที่นอนโรงพยาบาลและมักจะถูกละเลย จากบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ การให้การดูแลทางโภชนาการเริ่มตั้งแต่การคัดกรองและการประเมินภาวะโภชนาการ การให้โภชนบำบัด ตลอดจนการติดตามประเมินผลอย่างเหมาะสมจะช่วยทำให้ผลการรักษาของผู้ป่วยดีขึ้น ลดภาวะแทรกซ้อนและค่าใช้จ่ายในการรักษา สมาคมผู้ให้อาหารทางหลอดเลือดดำและทางเดินอาหารแห่งประเทศไทยได้รวบรวมข้อมูลการศึกษาที่เกิดขึ้นใหม่อย่างเป็นระบบ รวมทั้งความเห็นจากสหสาขาวิชาชีพ จัดทำเป็นคำแนะนำ 10 ข้อในการดูแลทางโภชนาการในผู้ป่วยผู้ใหญ่ที่นอนโรงพยาบาลที่มีความเหมาะสมกับบริบทของประเทศไทยเป็นครั้งแรก เพื่อเป็นแนวทางสำหรับบุคลากรทางการแพทย์ในการพัฒนาการดูแลทางโภชนาการในประเทศไทยให้มีประสิทธิภาพ คุ้มค่า และเกิดประโยชน์สูงสุดแก่ผู้ป่วย

          คำแนะนำการดูแลทางโภชนาการในผู้ป่วยผู้ใหญ่ที่นอนโรงพยาบาลในฉบับนี้ จะประกอบด้วยคำแนะนำที่ 1 ถึง 4 ได้แก่ คำแนะนำการคัดกรองและประเมินภาวะโภชนาการ ข้อบ่งชี้ในการให้โภชนบำบัด ช่องทางการให้โภชนบำบัด และความต้องการสารอาหาร
