Improvement Science

Abstract

Evidence-based practice is necessary to bridge the gaps between practice and research.  To ensure the effectiveness of evidence-based practice, the field of improvement science has emerged focusing on generating evidence to guide the decisions in quality improvement, and this has implications for nursing profession.  Various models for knowledge translation for clinical used have been developed. For research in generating evidence to support application of evidence base practice includes; descriptive, correlation, experimental and quasi experimental design, mixed method combine both quantitative and qualitative approaches and case studyapproaches.
