Humanitude: Application in caring for older persons with dementia

Abstract

This article presents humanitude concepts and its’ application in caring for older persons with dementia. Humanitude is a concept of care using speech, eye contact, and touch to promote relationship and trust in care.  The evidences of the application of humanitude in caring for older persons with dementia from other countries are provided. Further application and study of this concept in Thailand are needed.
