Abstract

Community nurse practitioner (CNP) is one tract of advanced practice nursing in Thailand. Those focus the performance in promotion of health, prevention of disease or illness, basic medical care: in common disease, primary investigate complex disease for refer to appropriate sector and in crisis patient or in case of emergency; rehabilitation and continuing care for chronic illness clients in community. Include of the strengthening individual, family, and aggregate groups’ health management in primary health care level. That can work in primary health care unit of the health promotion hospital in sub-district, community hospital, general /or region hospital and in unit care of private sector. The career paths of CNP in education process are acceptable. However, the career paths on administration positions in public health ministry are limited.
