Applying the synergy model for caring the critically ill patients

Abstract

Critical illness is a very complicated and life-threatening condition.  Caring for these patients need close monitoring from high expertise and high experienced nurses or advanced practice nurses (APN). To achieve positive outcomes in caring for the critically ill patients, integration of related concepts, theories, and nursing model are needs.  Synergy model for patient care is a nursing model designed for guiding nursing practice. This article presents one example of applying Synergy model in caring for the critically ill patients.
