Abstract

This research and development study aims to develop the Maneevej body structure balancing model for the treatment of trigger finger in nursing practitioner. The sample was a 35 staff in multidisciplinary team and 40 persons with trigger finger. The procedures were as follows: (1) identifying the problem for treatment of trigger finger from a multidisciplinary team and persons with trigger finger (2) develop the Maneevej body structure balancing model for the treatment of trigger finger in nursing practitioner, and (3) evaluate the model. The research instruments are (1) structured interviews, (2) structured interviews for evaluation after implementing the Maneevej body structure balancing model for the treatment of trigger finger in nursing practitioner. (3) video on how to balance the Maneevej body structure (4) poster of Maneevej body exercise. Data were collected 4 times before and after 15 minutes, 4 weeks, 8 weeks and 12 weeks. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, percentages, averages, standard deviations, and repeated measured ANOVA.  The Maneevej body structure balancing model for the treatment of trigger finger in nursing practitioner consists of two main components including balancing body structure by nurses, teaching and supporting patients exercise with Maneevej 8 basic postures, and adjusting posture to balance. This model can statistical significantly reduce pain and disease severity at p<.01. It is therefore useful for nurse practitioner in the primary care and suggested that nurses should be trained in Maneevej Science before implementation.
