Abstract

Entrepreneurship has become a focus of education in the 21st century due to significant social and economic changes. These situations are the driving force behind professional nurses seeking opportunities to become nursing entrepreneurs in response to the diverse health service needs in the private sector. Therefore, the entrepreneurial mindset is an important skill that professional nurses must have to create new value in the health system sustainably.

This article aims to present an approach to Outcome-Based Education (OBE) by designing an integrated 21st-century entrepreneurial skills curriculum that is aligned with program curriculum learning outcomes (PLOs) and course learning outcomes (CLOs), as well as proposing a backward design approach that covers learning objectives, assessment methods, and learning activities to develop learners to become “entrepreneurial nurses” with cross-disciplinary knowledge and readiness for change in the modern health context.
