ผลของโปรแกรมป้องกันการหกล้มต่อพฤติกรรมป้องกันการหกล้มในผู้สูงอายุโรคกระดูกพรุน

บทคัดย่อ

พฤติกรรมป้องกันการหกล้ม เป็นพฤติกรรมที่สำคัญสำหรับผู้สูงอายุโรคกระดูกพรุนเพื่อป้องกันไม่ให้เกิดการหกล้มและภาวะแทรกซ้อนต่าง ๆ การวิจัยเชิงทดลองชนิดสองกลุ่มวัดผลก่อนและหลังการทดลองนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อเปรียบเทียบคะแนนพฤติกรรมป้องกันการหกล้มของผู้สูงอายุโรคกระดูกพรุนก่อนและหลังเข้าร่วมโปรแกรมฯ และระหว่างกลุ่มที่เข้าร่วมโปรแกรมฯ และกลุ่มที่ได้รับการดูแลแบบปกติ กลุ่มตัวอย่าง คือ ผู้สูงอายุที่ได้รับการวินิจฉัยว่าเป็นโรคกระดูกพรุน มารับบริการที่โรงพยาบาลส่งเสริมสุขภาพ ศูนย์อนามัยที่ 2 พิษณุโลก จำนวน 54 คน สุ่มอย่างง่ายได้กลุ่มทดลอง จำนวน 27 คน และกลุ่มควบคุม จำนวน 27 คน เครื่องมือวิจัยประกอบด้วย 3 ส่วน ดังนี้ ส่วนที่ 1 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการคัดกรองกลุ่มตัวอย่าง ได้แก่ แบบประเมินสมรรถภาพสมอง แบบประเมินกิจวัตรประจำวันขั้นพื้นฐานแบบง่าย ส่วนที่ 2 เครื่องมือที่ใช้ในการรวบรวมข้อมูล ได้แก่ แบบสอบถามข้อมูลทั่วไป แบบสอบถามพฤติกรรมป้องกันการหกล้ม และส่วนที่ 3 เครื่องมือดำเนินการการวิจัย ได้แก่ โปรแกรมป้องกันการหกล้มในผู้สูงอายุโรคกระดูกพรุน ที่ผู้วิจัยพัฒนาขึ้นจากแนวคิด PRECEDE-PROCEED Model และแบบประเมินพฤติกรรมป้องกันการหกล้ม วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลด้วยสถิติเชิงพรรณนา สถิติ independent t-test และ dependent t-test

ผลการวิจัยพบว่า ภายหลังการทดลองกลุ่มที่ได้รับโปรแกรมฯมีคะแนนเฉลี่ยพฤติกรรมป้องกันการหกล้ม (M = 53.48, SD = 2.33) สูงกว่าก่อนทดลอง (M = 46.03, SD = 2.14) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (t = -12.82, p < .001) และสูงกว่ากลุ่มควบคุมอย่าง (M = 50.96, SD = 6.05) อย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ (t = -2.02, p = .001)

ดังนั้น บุคลากรด้านสุขภาพสามารถนำโปรแกรมป้องกันการหกล้ม ไปประยุกต์ใช้ในการส่งเสริมพฤติกรรมป้องกันการหกล้มให้ผู้สูงอายุโรคกระดูกพรุนต่อไป
