Quality of Work Life of Hospital Pharmacists

บทคัดย่อ

The objectives of this exploratory cross – sectional study were to examine quality of work life and compare the quality of work life of hospital pharmacists by background factors. The sample consisted of 387 hospital pharmacists using stratified random sampling by type of hospital. The data were collected between 2nd April – 11th May 2012 by questionnaire. The reliability value was 0.909. Statistical analyses were used in this study included percentage, frequency, mean, standard deviation, Independent t-test and One-way ANOVA.

The results showed that the overall quality of work life of hospital pharmacists was at moderate level (3.51 ± 0.40). Income and compensation dimension had the lowest score in quality of work life (2.98 ± 0.73). Relationships in the workplace dimension had the highest score in quality of work life (3.98 ± 0.45). Background factor such as years of experience, adequacy of income, work status and work activities in dispensing and pharmaceutical care were statistically significant with the overall quality of work life of hospital pharmacists (p-value < 0.05).
