Relationships between Selected Factors and Family Health Routines of Families in Communities, Nakhon Sawan Municipality City, Nakhon Sawan Province

The purpose of this study was to examine family health routines and to examine factors related to family health routines among families in communities of Nakhon Sawan municipality city, Nakhon Sawan province. A random sample of 392 representatives of the family was recruited in the study. The research instruments included family information questionnaire and the Thai Family Health Routines scale. Descriptive statistics, Spearman correlation coefficients, and point biserial correlation coefficients were used to analyze data.
The research results were as follows: The overall percent of family health routines was at a good level, 89.00 percent (X = 3.46, SD = 0.32). There were statistically significant correlations between the education of representatives of the family, family income, number of family support resources, family structure and the overall family health routines (rs = .11, p <.001; rs = .22, p <.001; rs = .11, p = .025; rpb= .11, p = .026 respectively).
The results of this study suggest that nurses should focus on providing families with low income and lack of social support because of these factors are related to family health routines to encourage good health, family practice. This will lead to better family health.
