Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic inflammatory disease that cause persistent joint pain, joint damage and long-term disability. It’s major effects are on the synovial joints, particularly the hands. Patients with rheumatoid arthritis have a reduced grip strength, range of motion and function of the hand. Therefore,try to increase strength and range of motion and prevent deformity through appropriate exercise.
There are many studies found that hand exercise many contribute to a decrease in joint tenderness, improve muscle strength and function. The intensity of the exercise must be thoroughly monitored.
