Abstract

Objective: To compare the expectation and existing condition towards instructional method classified by
gender, a level of study, and learning achievement.
Methods: The researcher used the questionnaire to study the medical students’ expectation and existing
condition. The samples of this study were 1,200 of the 2nd-6th-year medical students. The data were analyzed by
percentage, means, standard deviation, t-test, and One-way ANOVA. When the difference was founded, it was
tested for multiple comparisons by Bonferroni Method.
Results: The results of the study showed that mostly medical students were a male who had the highest expectation
towards the instructional method on the teacher aspect. After the hypothesis testing, it was shown that the
different gender had different expectation towards the instructional evaluation at the statistically significant level
.05. For the teacher aspect and instructional supporting factor, the medical students who had a different level
of study and learning achievement would have the different expectation and existing condition of all 5 aspects
at the statistically significant level .05.
Conclusion: The medical students had different expectation and existing condition, the researcher should take
all studied information to improve and adjust the instructional method accorded to the students’ expectation in
order to respond the students’ purpose.
