Professor Thawatchai Akaraviputh Achieves Prestigious Principal Fellow (PFHEA) Status!

Please join us in extending our warmest congratulations to our Editor-in-Chief, Professor Thawatchai Akaraviputh, who has officially achieved the prestigious status of Principal Fellow (PFHEA) from Advance HE, United Kingdom, as of 23 June 2026.

The Principal Fellowship is the highest level of recognition (Descriptor 4) framework, reserved exclusively for individuals who demonstrate sustained, highly effective strategic leadership in higher education and have a profound impact on teaching and learning practices.

As of 2026, there are only 9 individuals in all of Thailand who have been awarded this elite distinction. The very first recipient of this honour in Thailand was Emeritus Professor Wichit Srisa-an, the former Minister of Education, back in 2019.
