The objective of this systematic review was to study different methods used to prepare for the Thai Nursing and Midwifery License Examination between 2006 – 2020. We analyzed data relating to research study characteristics using descriptive statistics such as frequency distribution and percentages. We also analyzed the readiness form for the nursing and midwife license registration examination using content analysis. Screening through studies using our selection criteria, we identified 60 studies. Next, we selected 43 quality research assessments. In our review, we found that papers described 3 ways to prepare for the professional license registration examination, which are: 1) learning model (n=24), 2) the preparation of the registration and registration of the nursing professional license (n=13), and 3) learning by using virtual reality (n=6).
The results of the study show that the format for exam preparation, registration and licensing of nursing and midwifery professions can vary substantially. There should be a variety of learning styles to encourage students to systematically think about the content that they will be tested on. Learning by using virtual simulations is one method to encourage learners to think logically and to learn sustainably.
