The Model for Promoting Warm Family with Community Participation: A Case Study of Ban Kuanlon, Nabinla Sub -district, Meuang district, Trang province

This developmental research study aimed to develop and evaluate a model for the promotion of warm family with community participation in Ban Kuanlon, Nabinla sub-district, Mueang district, Trang province. We applied the action research consisting of 5 different phases, including: 1) diagnosing, 2) developing an action plan, 3) taking action, 4) evaluation, and 5) specifying learning, including warm family scoring and happiness evaluation. Our study participants were twelve stakeholders, who we recruited with purposive sampling, and thirty representatives of each family, who were recruited with simple random sampling. We analyzed the data using descriptive statistics and paired t-test. The study results showed the developed model involved participation from all stakeholders have participation and showed the potential to promote warm family. We found that communication and the relationships within the family were better after program participation. The mean scores for warm family and happiness were significantly higher after the study compared to before participating in the program (t=54.161, p<0.005 and t=76.237, p<0.005). The study’s program was effective in increasing the happiness of family and community empowerment. However, the researchers should study potential representatives of each family's development and increase community participation with the temple and school in the next study.
