An Evaluation of 6th Smart Brain and Health Project for Academic Year 2019
Abstract
The objective of this project evaluation research was to assess the environment, inputs, processes and productivity of the 6th Smart Brain & Health Project for Academic Year 2019 using the concept of the
Stufflebeam CIPP model. The subjects consisted of 498 students and 138 instructors. The data were conducted through online questionnaires. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and the inferential statistics using One sample t-test.
The overall assessment results by students in all aspects were high, including the contextual assessment of the project, ie the needs and needs to determine the project (± SD = 4.28 ± 0.75), the preliminary assessment of the project, ie the necessary resources to be used. (± SD = 4.09 ± 0.78). Process assessment of the project was including project management process (± SD = 4.12 ± 0.80) and satisfaction assessment of activities of the host's project (± SD = 4.16 ± 0.76). For productivity assessment of the project (± SD = 4.25 ± 0.73), the overall assessment results by all faculty members were at a very high level, including the preliminary assessment of the project (± SD = 4.65 ± 0.46), the project process assessment. (± SD = 4.51 ± 0.6), satisfaction assessment of host program activities (± SD = 4.58 ± 0.47) and project output evaluation (± SD = 4.65 ± 0.48). When comparing the project's output with criteria to measure the success of the project ( ≥3.51), this study showed the average score of all aspects assessed by students and instructors was significantly higher than the mean score of the criterion of success (p< .001). Therefore, the 6th Smart Brain & Health Project for Academic Year 2019 was achieved by student development in 5 areas: academic enhancing performance, health promotion, promotion of arts and culture, students’ identity development, and supporting educational quality assurance.
