Effect of Maneevej Technique to Relieve Dysmenorrhea among Reproductive Aged Females

We conducted a quasi-experimental research study. We measured dysmenorrhea symptoms among 20 reproductive-aged females before and after participants performed the Maneevej Technique. the experiment. Study participants performed 4 Maneevej Techniques for 10 minutes each time, twice a day, for a period of 60 days. We recorded general data, gynecological assessment, and physical examination information in the Epidata 3.1 program. We performed statistical calculations using the SPSS v.16 program.
The study found that the majority of the participants were 21-23 years old and 60% had normal BMI. Most had a posterior superior iliac spine (PSIS) level normalization of 80%. The mean menstrual pain levels before the treatment of Maneevej Technique was 7.85 ± 1.40 and after treatment was 5.10 ± 1.88. There was a statistically significant difference in pain before versus after treatment (p<0.05). Gynecological data showed that performing Maneevej Technique can help balance the body structure and circulation, which may help relieve the symptoms of dysmenorrhea. This study shows that practicing Maneevej Technique can be an alternative to other treatments for dysmenorrhea and may help women who have dysmenorrhea to maintain a normal routine.
