We conducted a cross-sectional, descriptive study to study the factors affecting the performance to solve problem of dengue fever among sub-district health promotion hospital personnel in recurring epidemic areas Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. We explored problems, obstacles, and recommendations for the implementation of the dengue fever problem. Our sample group of 127 people were responsible for the main task of dealing with dengue fever at the hospitals. We used a random quota method and then randomized sampling. We collected data using questionnaires. Questionnaires were examined for content validity, difficulty, power, classification. 117 participants returned questionnaires, resulting in a 92.13% response rate. We analyzed data using descriptive statistics (mean percentage and standard deviation), and stepwise, multiple regression analysis.
- The performance of the personnel was at a high level. Knowledge was at a low level. Attitude was at a good level The incentives and support factors were high. The support from the organization was at a high level
- Factors that had a statistically significant influence on performance (p<0.05) were knowledge of operations and support from the organization, which had a positive influence. These two factors contributed 61.0% of the prediction of problem solving performance. Thus, knowledge should be developed and support of the operations for personnel should be appropriately provided.
3 The most common barriers are that those involved lacked awareness of solutions. Our suggestion is to increase coordination and understanding with the relevant sectors.
