Data were collected by questionnaires composed of 4 parts including, characteristics, knowledge about waste, attitudes about waste management and household’s waste management. Data were analyzed by using Pearson product moment correlation coefficient.
The result showed that knowledge about waste had mean score at high level ( =2.70, S.D.=0.550), attitude about waste management had mean score at high level ( =2.75, S.D.=0.432). In addition, household’s waste management had mean score at high level of reuse ( =3.45, S.D.=0.639), reduce ( =4.23, S.D.=0.470), and recycle ( =4.19, S.D.=0.486). Knowledge about waste and attitude about waste management were significantly positive association with household’s waste management among village health volunteers (r=0.296, P-value=0.006, r=0.503, P-value<0.001, respectively). This study suggested that Pa Faek Municipality should set activities for sorting the source of waste to reduce the waste in community. Moreover, it should be promoting the village health volunteers as the role model in case of household’s waste management by using 3R model, such as reduce, reuse, and recycle.
