Assessment of Risk Management Information Systems of Huaiphlu Hospital, Nakhon Pathom Province

The objectives of this study are 1) to evaluate the environment, input factors, processes, and outputs of the information system for risk management and 2) to study problems, obstacles, and suggestions for solving problems in the information system for hospital risk management of Huaiphlu hospital, Nakhon Pathom Province. The study population is policy makers of the use of information systems for hospital risk management and staffs who use information systems for hospital risk management, totaling 145 people, by collecting every population unit. The research tools include questionnaires and interviews that have been checked for content validity by experts and have an alpha confidence coefficient of 0.8. The data were analyzed using content analysis and statistics such as percentages, means, and deviations. standard deviation. The results of the research showed (1) the results of the evaluation of the environment, input factors, processes, and outputs of the information system for risk management were at the highest level of opinion and passed the criteria in all aspects (2) problems, obstacles, and suggestions for solving hospital risk management information system problems found that the important problems and obstacles were including reporting of risks in information systems was delayed, lacking of continuous following up, and there was also no evaluation of the satisfaction level of the system in use. The study suggests demonstrating a simulation activity or various situations so that participants can analyze and evaluate risks by themselves, along with clearly assigning a person in charge to follow up. After using the system, there must be a satisfaction evaluation every six months for plan further improvements and development.
