Publication ethic
If the article to be published in the Thai Journal Physical Therapy is relevant to research in humans, including case report, the author must attach a certificate of approval from the institutional research ethics committee.
Article submitted for consideration to be published in the Thai Journal of Physical Therapy must never have been published in a reading journal before or sent to other journals while the consideration process has not yet been finalized.
For articles related to the clinical trial, the author is recommended to register a clinical trial before beginning the research and show the number registered within the brackets at the end of the abstract.
Publication ethics guidelines are followed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) which depends on all parties involved, including authors, experts considering articles, and editors
Ethics of Authors
The author must submit an original work article. If using other people's work in the article, the author must reference correctly and insert the full reference in the bibliography. The Thai Journal of Physical Therapy reserves the right to examine the plagiarism of the article.
The author must demonstrate proper research and the importance of research results. Research results must be real data, clear, no data creation or modify the data to get the desired statistical analysis results. Besides, the research findings must be due to research results do not use personal comments.
In article submission, the authors must specify sources of funding supporting research and conflict of interest (if any).
Ethics of experts, review articles (Ethics of Reviewers)
The reviewer must not publish any information related to the article that is considered to other journals. The reviewer does not appear to be the person considering the article until the article has been published. If the article is not published, the reviewer was unable to cite that article except with written permission from the author, which must be processed through the editor.
If a qualified person finds that there may be a conflict of interest after receiving the article to consider, the reviewer should inform the editor and refuse to consider the article immediately.
Consideration of the article should be based on the expertise of the branch. Consider how the article has created new knowledge. There is evidence of empirical evidence in presenting research results. Do not use personal opinion.
Besides, experts who consider the article should have suggestions for the authors to acknowledge the results of others' researches used in the article. The reviewer must inform the editor when it is found that the article is redundant or similar to another article that the reviewer had previously found in an article published earlier.
Ethics of Editors
Since the process of reviewing the articles of the Thai Journal of Physical Therapy is a double-blind consideration, the editors must cover the author's list and who considered it a secret. Articles that are not considered for publication must not be referenced by the editor unless the written consent of the author. Any information related to the article must be confidential.
If the editor has a conflict of interest in the process for considering the article in any way, the editor should withdraw from that article and have other editors take care of it instead.
Publication decision
Once the results of the consideration from the experts who considered the article are complete, editors must decide whether to publish the article or not, based on the results of consideration of the knowledge gained from the article, empirical evidence that support or conflict with that article.
Plagiarism
When the article is submitted into the journal system, articles will be checked for copying of other articles by software Copy-Catch in the database. If the results are similar in proportion to other articles (such as copying an entire paragraph), resulting in immediate denial of publication. If the article is somewhat similar, the editor will inform the author to make changes before entering the consideration process.
If it is found to be plagiarized to other works during consideration of the article, the editor will inhibit the consideration process and will ask for an explanation from the author. If there is no apparent justification, the article will be rejected for publication.
In the case of plagiarism is detected after the article has been published, the chief editor will:
1. Retract the article out of the journal and immediately make an announcement of the article retraction on the journal website.
2.Notify the author's departments of the reason for removing the article from the journal.
3. Reject the further submission of the author for at least 1 years.
4. not assign the author to be the edior or the reviewer.
