Crisis in Emergency Department: Caring for Patient’s Relatives with Humanize Care Nursing

Abstract

          แผนกอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉินเป็นด่านแรกที่ให้การดูแลรักษาผู้ป่วยที่อยู่ในภาวะวิกฤต ทั้งที่ประสบอุบัติเหตุ หรือมีภาวะเจ็บป่วยที่เกิดขึ้นอย่างกะทันหัน ซึ่งต้องการการรักษาอย่างเร่งด่วน รวดเร็ว ถูกต้อง ทันเวลา โดยทีมแพทย์และพยาบาลจะมุ่งเน้นให้การดูแลผู้ป่วยด้วยความรวดเร็วตามมาตรฐาน เพื่อให้ผู้ป่วยรอดพ้นจากภาวะวิกฤตที่กำลังคุกคามชีวิต นอกจากผู้ป่วยที่เผชิญกับภาวะวิกฤตของชีวิตแล้ว ยังมีญาติของผู้ป่วยที่ต้องเผชิญกับภาวะวิกฤตทางจิตใจด้วยเช่นกัน เพราะเหตุการณ์ความเจ็บป่วยที่เกิดขึ้นไม่มีการเตือนให้ทราบล่วงหน้า หรือเตรียมใจให้พร้อมรับกับสถานการณ์ความเจ็บป่วยต่างๆ ที่เกิดขึ้น จึงทำให้ญาติมีความเครียดและวิตกกังวลสูงเกี่ยวกับภาวะความเจ็บป่วยของบุคคลอันเป็นที่รัก การมุ่งหวังดูแลรักษาให้ผู้ป่วยผ่านพ้นจากภาวะวิกฤต จึงอาจทำให้ทีมแพทย์และพยาบาลมองข้ามการดูแลทางด้านจิตใจและความต้องการของญาติไป สิ่งที่ญาติต้องการคือการรับทราบข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับอาการ ความรุนแรง การรักษาพยาบาลที่ผู้ป่วยได้รับ ซึ่งการดูแลด้วยหัวใจความเป็นมนุษย์คือการดูแลรักษาทั้งผู้ป่วย และดูแลความรู้สึกของญาติ การสื่อสารข้อมูลที่ถูกต้อง ตอบสนองความต้องการด้านร่างกาย อารมณ์  และจิตวิญญาณให้กับญาติ จึงเป็นสิ่งสำคัญที่ทีมแพทย์และพยาบาลจะต้องคำนึงถึงและให้การดูแลด้วยหัวใจความเป็นมนุษย์ ในบทความนี้จะนำเสนอการดูแลญาติของผู้ป่วยในแผนกอุบัติเหตุและฉุกเฉินด้วยหัวใจความเป็นมนุษย์ เพื่อให้ญาติสามารถเผชิญและผ่านพ้นภาวะวิกฤตทางด้านจิตใจที่เกิดขึ้นได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ

Crisis in Emergency Department: Caring for Patient’s Relatives with Humanize Care Nursing

          The emergency department is in the frontline of treating patients suffering accidents or acute illnesses. The patients need rapid timely and accurate treatment. Physicians and nurses will give rapidly standardized treatment for the patients are safe from crisis in their lives. Not only are the patients facing crisis in their lives, but also the patient’s relatives who are facing psychological stress as well. Because incidents of illnesses occur without warning or preparation, the patient’s relatives become stressed and anxious about the illnesses of the patients. The expectation of caring for passing from the crisis makes physicians and nurses overlook psychological care and the needs of the patient’s relatives. Effective communication about the patient’s conditions and treatment is the most important need. Humanized care nursing is caring about patients and patient’s relative's feelings. Correct communication serves them with physical emotional and spiritual needs and physicians must also care for the psychological needs of their families for them to receive humanized care nursing. The article will present the care of the patient’s relatives in the emergency department with humanized care nursing for the relatives to be able to effectively get through psychological crisis.
