Nursing Role in Caring for Persons with Dementia

Abstract

                      Dementia is a crucial health problem mostly found in the elderly with high negative impacts toward people with dementia, their caregivers, community and society. There are no current curative treatments. Nurses are well positioned to play an important role in taking care of people with dementia. Finally, caregivers engage in sharing knowledge, giving advice, and relieving burdens to help achieve quality of life for the people with dementia and their caregivers.
