Abstract

               ภาวะโลหิตจางในหญิงตั้งครรภ์เป็นปัญหาสาธารณสุขที่สำคัญทั่วโลก ซึ่งส่งผลกระทบต่อหญิงตั้งครรภ์ และทารกในครรภ์ทั้งในระยะตั้งครรภ์ ระยะคลอด และระยะหลังคลอด   โดยเพิ่มโอกาสการคลอดก่อนกำหนด ความดันโลหิตสูงจากการตั้งครรภ์ ทารกน้ำหนักตัวน้อย ทารกเสียชีวิตในครรภ์ ภาวะโลหิตจางยังส่งผลกระทบต่อเนื่องถึงในระยะหลังคลอด การตกเลือดหลังคลอด การติดเชื้อ การเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ไม่ประสบความสำเร็จ ภาวะซึมเศร้าหลังคลอด สาเหตุที่พบบ่อยคือ การขาดธาตุเหล็กจากการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางสรีรวิทยาขณะตั้งครรภ์ร่วมกับได้รับธาตุเหล็กไม่เพียงพอกับความต้องการของร่างกาย และการเสียเลือดเรื้อรังในร่างกาย กรมอนามัย กระทรวงสาธารณสุข มีนโยบายการลดปัญหาภาวะโลหิตจางจากการขาดธาตุเหล็กในหญิงตั้งครรภ์ โดยหญิงตั้งครรภ์ทุกรายจะได้รับยาเสริมธาตุเหล็กในระหว่างการตั้งครรภ์  ดังนั้นบทบาทพยาบาลจะใช้กระบวนการพยาบาล ร่วมกับการให้ความรู้ทั้งรายกลุ่มและรายบุคคล เกี่ยวกับภาวะโลหิตจาง ความรุนแรง ผลกระทบ การป้องกัน การรักษา การรับประทานอาหารและวิตามินเสริมธาตุเหล็กที่เหมาะสม และการปฏิบัติตัวที่เหมาะสมในระหว่างการตั้งครรภ์ เพื่อช่วยเหลือ สนับสนุน และแก้ไขปัญหาภาวะโลหิตจางจากการขาดธาตุเหล็กในหญิงตั้งครรภ์
