Abstract

การส่งเสริมให้มารดาประสบผลสำเร็จในการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่นั้น พยาบาลจะต้องมี                      พื้นฐานความรู้ ความเข้าใจ เกี่ยวกับปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่อย่างเดียว เพื่อให้สามารถดูแลมารดาและทารกได้อย่างถูกต้องเหมาะสม และสามารถเข้าไปจัดการกับปัญหาที่เป็นอุปสรรคต่อการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่อย่างเดียวได้ มารดาที่สามารถเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ในระยะแรกประสบความสำเร็จ คาดว่าจะช่วยให้มารดาเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่ต่อไปได้นานขึ้น ทั้งนี้การเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่อย่างเดียวก่อนจำหน่ายจากโรงพยาบาล (Exclusive breastfeeding at discharge) ถือว่าเป็นช่วงที่มีความสำคัญอย่างมากต่อการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่อย่างเดียวในระยะยาว ดังนั้นพยาบาลซึ่งเป็นบุคคลที่ให้การดูแลมารดาอย่างใกล้ชิดขณะอยู่โรงพยาบาล จึงควรมีบทบาทในการช่วยเหลือและสนับสนุนให้มารดาสามารถเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่อย่างเดียวก่อนจำหน่ายจากโรงพยาบาล บทความนี้จะนำเสนอปัจจัยที่มีผลต่อการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่อย่างเดียวในระยะแรกหลังคลอดและบทบาทพยาบาลในการส่งเสริมการเลี้ยงลูกด้วยนมแม่อย่างเดียวก่อนจำหน่ายจากโรงพยาบาล 

Nurse’s role in promoting exclusive breastfeeding at hospital discharge

In order to promote exclusive breastfeeding successfully, nurses have to understand the factors affecting breastfeeding, be able to take care of mothers and babies correctly and appropriately and be able to deal with problems that impede exclusive breastfeeding. It’s believed that mothers who can breastfeed successfully in the first stage can expect to continue breastfeeding for a longer period. Exclusive breastfeeding at discharge is an important period of time for longer breastfeeding, so the nurse caring for the mother closely at the hospital should have a role in helping and supporting mothers to successfully continue exclusive breastfeeding at discharge. This article presents the factors affecting exclusive breastfeeding in the early stages and the nurse’s role in promoting exclusive breastfeeding at discharge.
