Development of Community Hospital and Community Selection Form for the 5th Year Medical Students’ Training

This descriptive study using Delphi technique. To develop a community hospital and community selection form for learning medicine experiences in community life. 66 participants were purposively selected from 6 community hospitals and communities, and staffs from Udon thani medical education center. In total, 3 questionnaires were used, the first is a semi- structured open-ended questionnaire, the second as a semi-structured closed-end online questionnaire compiled from the first questionnaire. After completed the 2nd questionnaire, any of the opinions differ is repeated in 3rd questionnaire for agreement. Once all criteria have been established, will use them to evaluate community hospitals and communities for the purpose of training medical students. Analysis of the data was conducted using frequency, percentage, median and interquartile range (IOR).
The result revealed that in the 1st round there were 50 opinions, divided into 3 parts. First part comprised of 25 opinions on teaching and learning. Second were 16 opinions on facilities necessary for community hospital and community practice. Third were 9 opinions suitable of the community. In the 2nd round, 29 of the opinions were consistent and 3rd round increased for more 5 consistent opinions.
