The Effect of Development of Clinical Nursing Practice Guideline for Preventing Fall Among Patients in Emergency Room, Sriboonruang Hospital
Abstract
This research and development aimed to develop clinical nursing practice guideline (CNPG) and study an effect of using clinical nursing practice guideline for the Preventing Fall among patients in Emergency room at Sriboonruang Hospital. The samples were 329 patients with fall risk and 11 registered nurses from the emergency room. The data were collected during July to September 2023. The research instruments were the developed Clinical Nursing Practice Guideline (CNPG) for the Preventing Fall among patients in Emergency room, case record form and the opinion questionnaires. All of the instruments were validated by 3 experts, content validity was 1.
The result shown that most of 329 patients with fall risk were men (54.7%), age between 18-93 years old (mean 64.9, SD 16.11). Risk factors for fall were effect of alcohol or illicit drugs 32.2%, there had no incidence of falls. The 11 registered nurses had average score of satisfaction of CNPG at high level (mean 4.18; SD 0.87). Therefore, should be used the clinical nursing practice guideline continuously for patient with fall risk in emergency room.
