This descriptive research aimed to: 1) study the perceived risks of pregnancy on health behaviors and 2) explore factors related to perceived risk of pregnancy, health behaviors and demand for holistic health services among women of advanced maternal age. The sample population was 32 pregnant women aged 35 years and over who received antenatal care and ultrasound clinic at Khanom Hospital of Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Systematic random sampling was applied. Data were collected between 19 January - 2 February 2023. The research tool used was an interview form comprising three parts. Its reliability was tested, obtaining values of.90, .92, .94, respectively. Data were analyzed by Fisher's Exact Test.
The results of the research showed that the pregnant women had a moderate level of perception of pregnancy risks (M = 390.31, S.D. = 193.32), and most of their health behaviors were at a very good level (71.88%). The demand for holistic health services was at a high level (71.88%). Level of education was correlated with health behaviors and the demand for holistic health services (p= .004 and .005).
The findings can be used to develop the health service system model from the antenatal clinic. In addition, there should be a one-stop system of health services in the antenatal clinic to ensure safety and satisfaction with the holistic health service system.
